Thursday, September 5, 2019

The SDA Bocconi School of Management-SEE Lab, the Secure World Foundation, and the Space Policy Institute organized a half-day workshop on September 5, 2019 in Washington, DC that discussed the large but not well-measured contribution of space services to efficiency and productivity of end user applications, focusing on the transportation and agriculture sectors. Workshop speakers included representatives from U.S and European satellite data and value added services providers, end users of space services, and economists and analysts involved in the assessment of economic impacts. An opening keynote was given by the Director of the Office of Space Commerce at the U.S. Department of Commerce. More information and limited materials from the workshop can be found on the event page.
