Ian Christensen Speaks at Department of Commerce Space Commerce Workshop

The Department of Commerce (DOC) Boulder Laboratories, the DOC Office of Space Commerce, and the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) held a one-day workshop in Boulder, CO on September 12 in order to discuss key technology and measurement barriers to deploying and safely operating commercial space technology. SWF Director of Private Sector Programs Ian Christensen participated in the workshop as a speaker on the panel on "Emerging Technologies for Space Commerce." Mr. Christensen's remarks focused on SWF's experience in integrating technology, business, and policy perspectives in governance discussions for emerging commercial space applications through projects such as the Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group and the Consortium for Execution of Rendezvous and Servicing Operations (CONFERS).
