SWF Contributes to GEO Programme Board

From February 7-8, Director of Space Applications Krystal Wilson represented SWF at the 12th GEO Programme Board meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. The group discussed a variety of issues including plans for GEO‐XVI Plenary and 2019 Ministerial and efforts to create the 2020-2022 GEO Work Programme.

During this meeting, the group also made final plans for the GEO Data Technology Workshop to be held in Vienna, Austria from April 23-25, 2019. The workshop will focus on exploring how to best make available Earth observations-based knowledge for international policy frameworks, including the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Paris Climate Agreement.
