NewSpace Europe Explores Governance Issues in a "Lunar Economy"
Wednesday, November 28, 2018
With a dramatically renewed interest in lunar opportunities and the governance issues associated with them, the NewSpace Europe Conference proved fertile ground for SWF's message of cooperative solutions for space sustainability.
Participating actively in standing room only sessions on the creation a "Lunar Economy," SWF Director of Private Sector Programs, Ian Christensen and Director Emeritus, Dr. Michael Simpson posed key questions about how a predictable and secure political environment conducive to both equity and commercial success could be achieved. With many key actors in Europe's increasingly dynamic entrepreneurial space community present at the conference, SWFs representatives were able to further broaden and deepen the Foundation's network of European contacts in the commercial space sector.
NewSpace Europe is a cooperative initiative of the Space Frontier Foundation in the United States and SpaceResources.lu in Luxembourg.
