Monday, February 19, 2018

SWF co-sponsored the Observer Research Foundation's (ORF) 4th Kalpana Chawla Annual Space Policy Dialogue in New Delhi, India from February 15-17. The three-day conference brought space policy experts from all over the world to discuss space security, stability and sustainability, emerging actors, space law, and India's unique role in the international space community.

Washington Office Director Victoria Samson and Project Manager Ian Christensen attended, presented, and participated in the dialogue. Ms. Samson gave a presentation on Potential Counterspace Capabilities Around the World, and Mr. Christensen spoke on Multilateral Governance Architectures.

This annual space policy dialogue was initiated by the ORF in memory of Dr. Kaplana Chawla, the Indian-American astronaut who tragically died on on board the 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
