SWF Actively Participates in Spring Meetings of the International Astronautical Federation

From March 22-24, 2016, SWF Executive Director Michael Simpson and Project Managers Ian Christensen and Christopher Johnson represented SWF on several committees and working groups during the spring meetings of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) in Paris, France.  Dr. Simpson was actively engaged in the work of IAF committees on Space Security and Commercial Spaceflight Safety.  Mr. Christensen attended the meetings of committees on the Space Economy; Entrepreneurship and Investment; and Commercial Spaceflight Safety. Mr. Johnson participated in the annual Board Meeting of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) where he acts as Assistant Executive Secretary, and participated in the meeting of the IAF Subcommittee on the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS).  SWF staff also participated in the review and selection of papers to be presented at the 2016 International Astronautical Congress to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico in September 2016.  More information on the IAF, and its activities, can be found here.
