Monday, July 27, 2015
SWF Technical Advisor Brian Weeden participated in workshop in Honolulu, Hawaii, on U.S.-China relations in strategic domains. The event was organized by the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR), the China-US People to People Exchange at Peking University, and the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS) at Peking University. This workshop continued the discussions initiated at a workshop in Beijing in March, 2015.
During the workshop, a team made up of U.S. and Chinese scholars met to discuss perspectives, challenges and opportunities for U.S.-China relations in maritime, cyber, space, and nuclear domains. The study group plans to publish their findings and recommendations for improving U.S.-China relations in early 2016.
