SWF Team Actively Contributes to the 30th Space Symposium

The SWF team actively contributed to the 30th Space Symposium, held in Colorado Springs from May 19 to 22. on Monday, May 19, SWF Project Manager Chris Johnson organized a panel discussion on the potential benefits and risks of small satellites for space development and capacity building as part of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) Fusion Forum. As part of the Symposium's main program track on Wednesday, SWF Project Manager Laura Delgado Lopez helped moderate a panel discussion on space development in the Americas with participants from the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile.
On Thursday morning, SWF Executive Director Dr. Michael Simpson moderated a breakfast panel discussion SWF sponsored on radiofrequency interference (RFI) and satellites. The panel discussed the challenges commercial communication satellite operators face from both unintentional and intentional RFI along with the technical and legal steps that industry and governments can take to help mitigate RFI.
