Roundtable on Global Trends in Commercial and Civil Space

When: Monday, February 23, 2015

Where: Carnegie Endowment for International Peace 1779 Mass. Ave NW

On Monday, February 23, 2015, Secure World Foundation (SWF) and Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) at the Institute of Defense Analysis (IDA) co-hosted an invitation-only roundtable discussion on global trends in space and the implications for U.S. security.

STPI presented the initial findings from two recent studies they conducted on behalf of government customers on recent trends in global commercial and civil space sectors. Afterwards, SWF led a moderated discussion to solicit feedback from the participants on the trends, the potential implications for U.S. national security, and suggestions for how the U.S. should respond. The discussions were not-for-attribution and held under Chatham House rule.

The presentation with findings from the Global Trends study can be found here, along with Vol1 and Vol2 of the report itself.
